Over two hundred years ago, in a defining moment in history, fifty-six remarkable men made a choice between servitude and freedom. For them, it meant placing their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor at risk to create this great land of liberty. For those who have followed, it has meant living the blessings of freedom so unselfishly secured for them.

July 4th, 1776, sparked not only the American Revolution, but a flame for freedom and a passion for liberty that remains unmatched in the world today. Never before had mankind been entrusted with a system of self-government, individual responsibility, and economic freedom. With this trust in man came human ingenuity, industrial marvels and technological triumphs. America prospered and flourished. Immigrants flocked to her shores lured by hopes and dreams of a better life.

Today, prolific public policies and a mammoth government ridicule the constitutional principles established by our forefathers. Our government has grown to kingly proportions, arrogantly trampling the basic rights of its citizens. The few rule the many. But because our founders had remarkable foresight, we have the constitutional protections to move government back into its proper role.

It is, therefore, our duty to restore those precious constitutional principles into our lives, our public policy and our government. We must demand accountability, become informed and actively challenge the laws, regulations and actions of our government that do not respect those principles. If we are to keep this great land, we must become as committed to liberty as our forefathers and guard it with the same sleepless vigilance. That is why we created Liberty Matters.

Liberty Matters is more than a name. It is a culmination of love of country, hard work and a passion for freedom. It is our mission to rekindle the flame of  bravery in the hearts of Americans to stand, never compromise and never waiver in defending the principles of freedom.

With undiminished devotion, we intend to educate, motivate, intrigue, humble and inspire all Americans. As Thomas Jefferson said: "The last hope of human liberty in this world rests on us." Those words were never more true than today.

This publication is about hope, about courage and it’s about the heart and soul of America.  It is our desire that you carry from these pages the torch of freedom and that great American spirit ignited by our forefathers over two centuries ago.
